A whole-body approach to pain relief at Advanced Acupuncture

What it is

A whole-body approach to pain relief

Pain Management Therapy at Advanced Acupuncture is not one technique but a combination chosen for your specific pain - acupuncture, DRX 9000 non-surgical spinal decompression, laser and light therapy, and CRA diagnostics to help pinpoint what conventional exams may miss. The goal is to address what is causing the pain, not just mask it.

Dr. Jason Chung Tsai, a state-certified Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine with 25 years of experience, builds each plan around your specific pain, its history and how it affects your daily life.

Is acupuncture for pain painful?
The needles are extremely thin. Most patients feel mild tingling and deep relaxation rather than pain.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the type and duration of your pain.
  • Acute pain often needs 3-6 sessions
  • Chronic conditions may need 6-12 sessions
  • Many patients continue with monthly maintenance visits
How soon will I notice a difference?
Many patients notice some improvement after their first 1-2 sessions, though chronic pain that has built up over years usually needs a longer course of treatment.
What conditions does this cover?
Back pain, neck and shoulder pain, arthritis, sciatica, migraines, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, sports injuries, post-surgical pain and chronic pain syndrome. See the full list of pain areas we treat.
What happens at my first visit?
A health intake, a conversation about your pain and how it affects your day, a physical evaluation, your first treatment session, and aftercare instructions to take home.
Are there side effects?
Side effects are rare and mild - occasional soreness at a needle site, or a feeling of drowsiness or deep relaxation after treatment.
