Insomnia / Sleep Disorders
Acupuncture for insomnia addresses the causes of poor sleep rather than masking the symptom the way a sleeping pill does. Dr. Tsai has practised in Hollywood, FL for 25 years. Patients notice better sleep within 3 to 5 sessions, and no sleep medication is required.

Common causes
Insomnia has five common causes: high stress and anxiety, hormonal imbalance, irregular sleep habits, emotional tension, and pain or chronic illness. Each keeps the nervous system too activated to rest. Acupuncture calms that activation rather than sedating you through it.
Dr. Tsai identifies which of the five is keeping your body from settling into deep sleep, then treats that cause. He has 25 years of clinical experience, and the approach is non-invasive, drug-free and safe alongside medication you already take, with your doctor’s guidance.
Our process
Insomnia treatment runs in five steps: consultation, holistic assessment, the acupuncture session, deep relaxation and follow-up. Dr. Tsai measures your sleep quality at each follow-up and adjusts the plan as it improves.
We review your sleep pattern, stress levels, and health history.
Pulse and tongue diagnostics locate where your energy is out of balance.
Fine, sterile needles calm the nervous system and support healthy melatonin and cortisol balance.
You rest as your body shifts into a restful state - most patients feel drowsy by the end.

The evidence
The body stays awake because an overactive nervous system, elevated cortisol and disrupted melatonin rhythms hold it in an alert state. Traditional Chinese Medicine names the same problem as a Yin and Yang imbalance. Treatment helps the body downshift on its own.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, sleep problems are a disturbance in the balance between Yin and Yang: the body cannot shift out of an alert, activated state into rest. Stress, hormonal imbalance and chronic tension all feed the pattern.
A modern lens describes the same problem differently - an overactive nervous system, elevated cortisol and disrupted melatonin rhythms. Either way, treatment has the same goal: help your body downshift on its own, night after night.
Acupuncture for insomnia works on five fronts at once, addressing the causes rather than the symptom.
Benefits
Three things change: you fall asleep faster, you stay asleep longer, and you wake up refreshed. Consistent care helps your body relearn how to fall and stay asleep, which takes 3 to 5 sessions to begin.
01
A calmer nervous system means less time spent lying awake with a racing mind.
02
Better hormone balance and reduced tension mean fewer middle-of-the-night wake-ups.
03
Restorative sleep supports mood, focus and energy the following day.
