Before coming, I had been diagnosed with blockage in the left ventricle of the heart, plus blockage on both sides of the neck in the carotid arteries. Even with medication, my ankles were swollen and I couldn’t walk without having angina pain. I had to try an alternative to surgery. A visit to my cardiologist revealed that I would need surgery to clear my carotid arteries. I was to return in 6 weeks for a second ultrasound and at that time if my carotid arteries had remained the same, I would need surgery. I would like you to know what wonderful people you have working for and with you. I’d been in pain (upper arms) for approximately five weeks (due to fibromyalgia, a rheumatic condition.) I knew that if I went to a Rheumatologist I would have been prescribed steroids and pain medication and this is not what I wanted. After the initial treatments in acupuncture, we discussed diet and exercise. I gave up all stimulants: coffee, soda, wine. Within a few treatments I began to feel better. I have been a patient of Dr. Tsai’s since February, 2011. Before I began treatment I had been diagnosed with many different medical issues. As a result, I was taking over 30 different medications and vitamins. I suffered from severe back pain and chronic kidney failure. I also have a history of lyme disease.
Since my treatment with Dr. Tsai began, I have noticed a marked improvement with my back pain. The stiffness in my neck area has loosened up considerably and I have better posture.
